“And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah, the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pediah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah, for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto the brethren.”

The Ministry of Trustees

The Trustee Ministry is the “stewards” of the church. Stewards are not “owners”. Instead, they are trusted servants who are charged to manage the fiscal concerns of another – in this case the church. Oversight for all financial, tangible resources and property of the Fellowship falls under the purview of this ministry. As ordained Deacons, they are called to instruct and encourage the membership to be faithful in the paying of their Tithes and offerings. The Trustee Ministry is responsible for receiving and providing accurate and timely accounting for all monetary gifts and income that comes to the church. They are also the safeguard and point of distribution of these resources and payment for all the Fellowship’s expenses, debts, and liabilities.

This critical assignment requires the highest level of integrity and personal character. Trustees are themselves expected to be exemplary examples of “Tithing”. They must demonstrate consistent faithfulness to the church, wisdom, discernment, prudence, self control, and be rigorous students of GOD’s Holy Word.

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
